SIS Professors Suzie Allard, Carol Tenopir Honored with Research Awards
Two SIS professors earned top honors for the College of Communications and Information at the recent University of Tennessee, Knoxville, 2019 Research Awards Luncheon, which is sponsored by the Office of Research and Engagement.
Chancellor’s Professor Suzie Allard was awarded the Research Spotlight Award, which, according to ORE, “Recognizes the top research scholar within each college or collegiate division as defined by data from Elements reflecting total research expenditures and external facilities and administration.”
Chancellor’s Professor Carol Tenopir was awarded the Top Citations by College, which, “Recognizes the individual with highest total number of citations by college or collegiate division.”
These awards recognize the hard work and dedication of SIS faculty to research and education.
“Congratulations to Chancellor’s Professor Suzie Allard on receiving the Research Spotlight Award and to Chancellor’s Professor Carol Tenopir for receiving the Top Citations by College Award at the inaugural UT Knoxville Research Awards Luncheon,” said CCI Dean Mike Wirth. “We are very proud of everything that Suzie and Carol have accomplished and are grateful for their ongoing dedication and leadership with respect to CCI’s research enterprise.”
