SLA and ALA Student Chapters Speaker Ben Rubin on Horror Archives

September 15 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm EDT

Get ready: the Society of American Archivists student chapter (SAA-UTK) is hosting a Pop Culture Archives speaker series this fall!
We are excited to announce our first speaker: Ben Rubin, Horror Studies Collection Coordinator for Archives & Special Collections at the University of Pittsburgh Library System. The American Library Association student chapter is co-sponsoring this event. Join us Wednesday, Sept. 15, at 4 pm (ET) to discuss the creation of the horror studies collection and the acquisition of the George A. Romero Archive!
To submit questions for the speaker or request more information, please email SAA-UTK president Jenny Huffman in advance at
Zoom link Password: Zombie
Additionally, we are actively recruiting new members, as well as a First Year Representative. SAA-UTK provides a virtual environment for students to discuss archival issues, identify with the profession, and engage in professional activities. If you are interested in becoming a leader of tomorrow’s archival profession, we encourage you to join via VOLink. Interested individuals who would like to fill the role of First Year Representative should email Jenny Huffman.
