The Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) is the Department of Energy (DOE) office that collects, preserves, and disseminates DOE-sponsored research and development (R&D) results that are the outcomes of R&D projects or other funded activities at DOE labs and facilities nationwide and grantees at universities and other institutions. The information is typically in the form of technical documents, conference papers, articles, multimedia, and software, collectively referred to as scientific and technical information (STI). The office is in Oak Ridge, TN. The practicum would be under the auspices of Information International Associates, Inc., contractor to DOE OSTI.
This practicum would be heavily focused on data curation for journal articles and accepted manuscripts, and other records in the OSTI collection. This may include assisting with development and udpate of curation processes.
