Biography:

As Fund Development Manager for the Knox County Public Library system, Casey raises private funds to underwrite programs that fall outside the core services of the Library, including Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Knox County and the KCPL Summer Library Club. She oversees site management and logistics for Library programs such as The Big Read and the Children’s Festival of Reading. Casey was project director for the Knoxville Stomp Festival of Lost Music in 2016 and has helped coordinate literary events for the acclaimed Big Ears Festival. She is on the board of the Knoxville History Project and has served as a grant adviser to the Beck Cultural Exchange Center and a grant review panelist for the Knoxville Arts and Culture Alliance. Prior to her current position, Casey worked in children’s library services both at KCPL and at the New Orleans Public Library. She earned her MLIS from UTK through the IMLS-funded ITRL-2 program, which concentrated on public library service for underserved populations in rural Southeastern Appalachia.
